Michael
Martin Fitzpatrick was born in 1848 in Torbay,
Newfoundland.
Michael
immigrated to New South Wales, Australia, but the year
and on what ship is unknown for the moment.
Michael
was living in Sydney where he met Bridget Collins.
The couple got married on the 20th of May 1880 in St
Michael's Church in Cumberland Street, Sydney[1]. They were
living in Upper Fort Street at the time. After Michael
and Bridget got married, they moved south to
Alexandria where they had their first child, Frederick Francis.
At the time Michael's occupation was a fellmonger. They lived in Alexandria for 2 years and then moved to
Botany Rd in Waterloo[2].
Michael
died at 73 years of age on the 1st of April, 1921 in Waterloo of cardiac
failure[3]. He was buried on the 2nd of April, 1921 in
Rookwood Cemetery (Mortuary 2, Area E, Grave 982). He
is buried beside his wife, Bridget.
